Read the black numbers from left to right. Include any 0s at the beginning, ignoring any red numbers or numbers after the decimal point.
Economy 7 meter - (Electricity only)
Similar to a standard meter read the black numbers from left to right. Include any 0s at the beginning, ignoring any red numbers or numbers after the decimal point. Your E7 meter will toggle between your rate 1 and rate 2 reading, once you've made note of your rate 1 reading, there's a button you can press which will display your rate 2 reading, and vice versa. Rate 1 might also be called 'Day Rate'; Rate 2 might be called, you've guessed it, 'Night Rate'.
Read all the numbers left to right. Ignore any decimal points, we won't need those. Sometimes you have to click a button to display your reading
We know what you're thinking: why did anybody think these were a good idea? They look more complicated than they are: Write down the number that the pointer's just passed (this isn't always the nearest number to the pointer). So if the pointer is between 4 and 5, you should write down 4 - even if it's closer to 5. If the pointer is exactly on a number, write it down.Remember, not all of the meters go clockwise. Because that would be too easy, right?
